The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and optimise our daily logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transport, warehousing, inventory, and compliance while ensuring high service levels and cost efficiency.
- Plan, manage, and optimise end-to-end logistics and distribution operations.
- Oversee fleet management, route planning, and delivery performance.
- Manage warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory accuracy.
- Lead, motivate, and develop logistics staff and drivers.
- Ensure compliance with UK transport, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational costs to drive efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements and implement operational best practices.
- Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain management role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of UK transport legislation and health & safety standards.
- Experience with logistics software, planning tools, and reporting systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
